Generating solar power to create a carbon neutral borough

The council used the money raised to help fund the construction of a solar farm in Cirencester, to generate green power to offset the emissions generated in the borough. The hybrid solar farm is 23MW in size and includes 46MW of battery storage on site. The project went live in late 2022 and has been generating green power ever since.
